The Road King.... It IS a phenomenon in guitar amplifiers there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind. The design is the accumulation of many different pre/power amps from Mesa Boogie all rolled in to one mean mother...

I have spent some time messing about recording some sound bytes of this amp... the playing is sad (well it WAS a Sunday morning) but you can get a reasonable feel for the sounds. I've broken these down in to strat rhythm and lead and Ibanez rhythm and lead. The sounds are in real player format so download your free one from www.real.com - and don't forget to ignore the continuous harassment to buy one... there IS a free copy on the site.

All of the sounds are as they come out of the amp to give a better feel of each particular channel. These were a Sunday morning early - so that's the excuse Ill use for the bad twiddling... :-)
