Cheap (very) but with a great sound. Not the best wood, or other fancy stuff, but this guitar definately has a place in rock

Here's a guitar that cost Tony peanuts. It's a second hand Ibanez RG series instrument ( but we're not sure exactly which model because there is no model number on it.)

The Ibanez has a really rocky sound and was used on the "Photo's from a Blue Moon" Album. It's a simple black paint job as you will see from the photo and the guitar was purchased for around $US400.00. For a guitar with the sound of this one you could ( and most do frequently ) pay thousands of dollars more and you may get a nice piece of wood, some gold plating, a bit of flash artwork or something similar, BUT - for a rock guitar sounding as good as this all you need is a few hundred dollars. The retail price I am told is around $US700.00.

This guitar is featured on a track called "Dream Catcher" from the "Pictures from a Blue Moon" Album. More recently this guitar is featured throughout the "Guitar Lab" album - both for rhythm and lead work - it has some great sounds and is currently one of the more played instruments - particularly for live work. This Ibanez really cooks and Tony uses this guitar a lot - he has also purchased a customized Ibanez 550 series which will be featured on this site in due course.
