As well as his own music (Time Traveler) Graham
Elks is also
a member of another band called G-2 (formerly Atmospheric Images) along with Phil Crewe - also
on Guitars. The first album was aptly called Atmospheric Images that
is the band's debut album. This work is a more jazzy and laid back sort of
composition than Grahams other works. Tracks include Central Park, For the
Angels, Sailing Ships, Mood Swing and Dancing Horses. Atmospheric Images have
now completed this album in 1999 and the release date was December 1999.
A recent review of Atmospheric Images
concluded:
"This instrumental nine track CD is
written, arranged and Performed by Graham Elks and Phil Crewe with a little help
on piano on two tracks from Terry Butters. Basically, this is gentle guitar
(both electric and acoustic ) album of relaxing music. Both guys are excellent
players and obviously enjoy what they do and they have created a very pleasing
record of mood music. Probably best played in the late evening with the lights
down low, so I'm sure that its appeal will be relatively limited, but if you're
looking for music to relax to then you could do worse than investigate this
release." TC
If jazz is more your scene why not get a
copy of Atmospheric Images. This album is highly recommended and you will not be
disappointed with either the content, the ability or the sheer quality of this
work.
