Jimi Hendrix Signature

By the end of 69 Jimi had formed a band called the Band of Gypsies and played at Filmore East on 31st December 69. The gigs were spread over a couple of days and Wally Heider's Mobile was there to record the events as they happened.

It has been said many times that during these concerts one of the most superb rock tracks of all time was recorded - this being "Machine Gun". Take a listen at the track from Band of Gypsies 1st album and you may well listen in awe...  along with the rest of us. If you have ever seen that little snippet of home video from someone in the crowd of Hendrix playing part of the solo in this awesome track you will see a man right at the peak of his career who is a complete master with his chosen instrument backed up with a wailing vocal. Nice one Jimi.... This video has now been released worldwide and is a MUST if you really want to see Jimi at the peak of guitar playing. Some tracks are a little poor but Machine Gun.... well it just one of the best live rock tracks of all time.

Here's some photo's from the gig as well as shots from around that time in his career.
